The thing i think of first everytime i remember the island is my room, specifically the view from my window. I actually didn't see the beach like most people assume because i lived on the inner edge of Honolulu in the Monoa mountains. It was those mountains that filled my window. I could see the sun rise over them in the morning and the birds and trees, it was really peaceful. My home will always be the mountains of Oahu, i'm city boy but i'm still and islander.
